My Story
My name is Sarah McMillan and I have a passion for both history and fashion. I hold a diploma in fashion design from Fanshawe college and a bachelor of creative arts from Yorkville University. I work in the corporate world and in my free time explore many creative outlets.
The Project
Looking back to move forward is the result of my capstone project for bachelor of creative arts degree, obtained in June 2024. By looking at specific time periods and civilizations influences and dominant clothing styles I have created miniature representations. From there I have used these examples to create modern designs inspired by the iconic items of the past.
